Abdallah accepted an offer of tenancy in Chambers upon successful completion of his pupillage in November 2024. He was under the supervision of Katherine Broadhurst (Family) in his first six and Nuhu Gobir (Crime) in his second six.

He now accepts instructions in all of Chambers’ practice areas.

Prior to commencing his pupillage, Abdallah lectured undergraduate law at Cardiff University and co-directed two of the Law School’s Pro Bono & Employability projects.

Abdallah holds a voluntary position at Cardiff University’s Innocence Project reviewing convictions for serious offences and drafting applications to the Criminal Cases Review Commission. Abdallah is an editor on the Justice Gap magazine. He recently co-authored an article in its most recent print on the Birmingham 4 case. He volunteers at the Future Justice Project providing the secretariat to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Miscarriages of Justice. In that role, he is involved in a research project on access to court transcripts in conjunction with the Cambridge Pro Bono Project.

Abdallah values pro bono work and is frequently instructed by Advocate, the Bar’s Pro Bono Unit. During his pupillage he completed Advocate’s Pupillage Pledge. He has been nominated for the Young Pro Bono Barrister of the Year award in the 2025 Bar Pro Bono Awards.

Outside the courtroom, Abdallah plays blues music in a local band. He is also an avid cook.

Abdallah is a native Arabic speaker.

Abdallah is a CPS Level 1 Prosecutor and has developed a busy practice in the Crown Court and Magistrates’ Court. He has had conduct of appeals from the Magistrates’ Court and Youth Court.

Abdallah also has particular experience with cases involving Probation breaches and applications.

Abdallah’s regulatory practice involves instructions by Local Authorities for prosecutions and appeals.

Abdallah has developed a busy practice in the family courts appearing at all levels up to and including before Circuit Judges. He has particular experience in Decision Hearings under the new Pathfinder scheme in Private Children’s law. He has been instructed in cases that involve allegations of domestic violence and abuse.

Abdallah accepts instructions in all of Chambers’ civil practice areas. He has particular experience in possession proceedings and immigration appeals. He also has experience in small claims RTA offences and credit hire claims. Abdallah has been instructed in interim hearings and applications in the County Court.

Abdallah values pro bono work and is frequently instructed on that basis by Advocate, the Bar’s Pro Bono Unit.

During his pupillage he completed Advocate’s Pupillage Pledge. He represented a Sierra Leonean national in the First-Tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in Manchester. He was also instructed at short notice to represent a Kurdish appellant who had faced challenges in securing legal representation. He successfully persuaded the Court to adjourn the appeal hearing

He has been nominated for the Young Pro Bono Barrister of the Year award in the 2025 Bar Pro Bono Awards.

Abdallah achieved a distinction in his Masters and achieved a Very Competent on the Bar Training Course where he scored the second highest grade for Cross-Examination, Civil Litigation, and Ethics. He wrote his Masters dissertation on the cross-examination of vulnerable witnesses in the criminal courts.

He won the 2021 Lincoln’s Inn Inter-Provider Mooting Competition and was a semi-finalist at the 2021 Inter-Inn Mooting Competition. He was a Mentor to an A-Level student on the Big Voice London mooting competition in association with the Supreme Court. He also completed the Kalisher Trust Advocacy Training Course 2022 culminating in a Saturday Action Clinic at the Old Bailey before Dame Anne Rafferty DBE.
