Our barristers are instructed in the most serious cases involving drug offences heard in the criminal courts across South Wales.

Members of the team prosecute and defend in large-scale multi-handed drug conspiracies, drug trafficking cases linked to serious organised crime and County lines drug operations. These cases often require the detailed analysis of digital and telecommunications evidence [computer, telephone and cell site].

Members of the team have a leading reputation in fraud and white-collar crime.

Our barristers appear in cases involving bribery, money laundering, computer crime, benefit fraud, deception, insurance fraud and tax evasion. They conduct cases which frequently involve the instruction of forensic accountants and feature complex disclosure, restraint and confiscation proceedings.

Our members, both King’s Counsel and Juniors, have a long-established leading reputation for appearing in some of the most high-profile murder cases on Circuit, cases which regularly attract widespread national publicity.

Members of the team are also routinely instructed in cases of serious violence, including attempted murder, manslaughter, GBH, and armed robbery.

We are regularly instructed to defend and prosecute some of the most high-profile multi-defendant Serious and Organised crime cases in South Wales including modern slavery cases, human trafficking and exploitation, blackmail and Proceeds of Crime.

Our members represent both prosecute and defend in cases brought by regulatory bodies and Executive Agencies.

Across a range of seniorities from junior to KC, we provide counsel with expertise in investigations and prosecutions brought by Natural Resources Wales, Health and Safety Executive, Companies House and Local Authorities involving Licensing, Environmental Health, Food Standards, Planning Enforcement, Consumer Regulations and Trading Standards.

Members of the team are routinely instructed to prosecute and defend in cases of a serious sexual nature including rape, the abuse of children and vulnerable individuals and, increasingly, cases where the allegations are of a historic nature.

Many of our barristers are specialist CPS RASSO [Rape and Serious Sexual offences] panel members and have considerable experience in dealing with vulnerable witnesses.
